Pop in a Quarter, Knock Yourself Out

Breathe in, Read, Breathe out.

came back late, er i mean really early, this morning. slept a little and went to meet hui ran and jer for some much needed coffee.
instead i had cocoa.
we sat around and basically slacked and enjoyed each others company while hui ran told us all about how a soaked panty cured her swollen eyes when she was on a mission trip.
long story ladies and gents.

after that i had devdas. the show was really long, i mean really long.
not that it was bad. it was well done.
really like nad's performance as dev's mother.

after that, i went out with suat to eat. we were damn bloody hungry after the interminable play. went to downtown east because everywhere else was closed.
ate, chatted and sent her home.

after that, the day (or what was left of it anyway) went downhill from there. nothing is ever easy is it? why the hell must it be like that all the time? why the hell must situations, people and things in general be so difficult?
i get so sick and tired of stuff sometimes.

got this one from a webbie darren gave me.
my mouth is watering already. Posted by Hello

December 27, 2004

will take a leaf out of sashi's book and blog in point.

- went to sentosa with sam, nat, cassie nad jer some time ago. last outing i had with nat. did really crazy shit, especially near the merlion. enjoyed ourselves didnt we?

- nat left, but i already posted that. so yea...

- went for daph's christmas party on the 25th, my usual hang out place during christmas. did our usual shit; played, talked, ate, drank, and had loads of fun. like daph put it, the simplest things are really the best.

- kit got high, and as usual, i became a human punching bag. watch out for this one guys.

- christmas spirit decided to come late this year. i seriously felt nothing on the day itself. it was like national day; boring and detached. boxing day was better though.

- boxing day was spent with cassie, sam and jer. went to town, then to pacific coffee and then to the esplanade. heard a group of a cappella singers carolling away. that was finally when it felt like christmas. at least i felt something.

- will be going for a movie tomorrow, phantom of the opera. hope it's good.

- army is coming closer. i dont want it to come, dont get me wrong, i am excited and shit but... i wish december didnt have to end

- 2005 looks like its going to be a fantastic year...

life is a bitch that needs a good pounding from yours truly.

watched this show on discovery on spontaneous human combustion, shc.
i stopped watching halfway and flipped back to cartoons cause i freaked myself half to death.
not to sound like a yellow-bellied asshole here, but this show is definitely not a bedtime programme.
i was lying on the couch while watching and half the time i was afraid i would start combusting right there and disintegrate from the face of the earth. that cant happen to me!
i'm still a virgin!

but i digress...

its just freaky, you know?
i'm not saying i'm a believer but i'm not saying i'm not either. the facts are all so blury and it seems that there's no conclusive evidence leading to a straight answer. so i cant dismiss the possibility of its existence.
the fire worked such a number on the 'victims' that it did a better job than regular cremation. can you believe that?

inagine this:
one fine day you are lying on your couch, or resting on the chair reading a book or sipping tea when your tissues suddenly catch fire. what the hell would you do man?
sure some of you smart asses would sneer and go,
'well i'll run to the kitchen and put it out'
some might even do the stop-drop-roll routine, which, under normal circumstances, is insanely funny to watch.

but can you say panic?

ah well, i guess i dont have to worry about this anytime soon.
according to research, many of the reported shc cases happen (if it does at all) to women who smoke and/or drink alcohol and are under some form of medication due to a sickness or a condition.

thank god for my testicles.

nat's leaving tomorrow.
gotta be at the airport at about 10 i guess, to send her off and all.
*sighs*
i though of the perfect goodbye present for nat unfortunately it requires more than a day to make. 2 days actually. obviously not enough time. i only have about 16 hours.

i should stop this counting down business, its depressing.

i loved every minute of it.
everything was perfect, just perfect.

December 13, 2004

had the interact farewell a couple of days back at seoul garden.
it was my first time there and i had loads to eat.
had fun, played some games and basically enjoyed eating in the company of the year ones and my fellow excos.
today some of the excos (namely lh, diana, zy and myself) met up at starbuck to just kick back and relax. it was really fun.
i'm sure as hell gonna miss working with the lot. we had so much fun working together. when things were just plain tough, we stuck together and pulled through.
we were definitely a team, well most of us anyway.

hope the new exco batch are up to scratch.
they have a lot to live up to thats for sure.
nat was right, i'm always online at this time.
but i cant help it.
at this time, there's no mum or dad to crawl up your ass, no siblings to irritate you, everything's dark (just the way i like it by the way), all's quiet, i dont need to fight for the use of the computer... the list goes on.

furthermore, dad had finally given the green light to sign up for broadband. all i have to do is get my lazy ass down to singtel early in the morning to beat the crazy crowds and register.
but like i said, my ass is as lazy as it comes.
ah well, as long as the green light is there, i'll move when i wanna. but dont worry, it'll be soon. maybe i'll go tomorrow or something.
we'll see.

December 11, 2004

went to dhanya's sister's wedding with sara, kit and cassie yesterday.
cassie and my sis hit it off almost immediately, as i predicted.
*puts on an i-told-you-face to cassie*

anyways the wedding was, to put it shortly, long.
long long long, the ceremony seemed interminable. but it was really interesting. the colours, people, clothes. it was fun and a definite learning experience.

even so, i'd expect the groom and the bride to be really happy now that its all over. with all that standing, walking, running, rushing, dressing in uncomfortable clothes, the heat, the endless list of things to do, wouldnt you be glad?

man, i hope my wedding (if i ever were to wed) aint gonna be so long. i'd just die. i'll be so restless.
at my wedding i'd probably be making faces at the priest when he's not looking.
i'll never forget what i saw today.
i could just sit there and watch for hours on end.
beautiful.

December 09, 2004

had a really belated surprise birthday party for neeta and kit yesterday.
went shopping for bbq stuff with cassie, shu hui and jer before heading down to cassie's place.
got everthing ready and had to shout 'surprise!' when they got down to the pit.

boy did i feel stupid. lol.

anyways we basically cooked the food (seriously fried my testicles due to the heat man), ate, chatted, laughed and had loads of fun. there was no drinking though, unless you count the silly chardonnay with 6% alcohol *gasps*.

nearly went for a walk to the beach but it was getting late i guess.
so the guys went home while the gals stayed behind to enjoy their stayover and cassie's.
on the way out jer decided to act all drunk and crappy and i played out the supporting friend, hand over his shoulder, trying to get him to stand up straight and all. i think the security guards bought it. lol.
i know i know, pointless but hey, self-entertaining.

finally bought my kurta thing for the wedding on friday. its black and i like it. i tried it on and well i look okay i guess. i aint gonna wear any funny looking shoes though. just sandles. yea yea, its probably and anti-climax or something, but we're gonna be in a temple for goodness sakes, no footwear.

the army sent me a letter sometime yesterday. turns out the usual parent visitation day has been canceled. instead i can only book out after 3 weeks. also, bmt's only for 9 weeks, not the 10 weeks i was expecting.
but hey, you wont hear me complaining.

December 05, 2004

its been a while hasnt it?
lets get straight into it then.

prom itself was dead boring. even with rod montero as the emcee, i wanted it to end soon. and you know how it is when you want things to end, it just goes on and on like some sick joke. the food was okay, well average actually. portions were pathetic and i didnt know how to eat some of the stuff (like the shark's fin soup. man, that was just bad). but that sure as hell didnt stop me from finishing the rest of the stuff.
company was definitely good. you can never go wrong with having indians at a table. lol.
everyone was spiffily-dressed. its kinda nice to see people dress-up sometimes, you know, something other than the god-forsaken school uniform and jeans.
andrews was voted best dressed and i'd be darned if she didnt. she should've won though. you guys should have seen the people she was up against, paled in comparison.

post-prom period was probably better than the event itself. took pictures and of we went to the room. i couldnt wait to get out of my monkey suit. i just felt so uncomfortable. i hate dressing formally, i tell ya.
after that it was the same old story; drank, got high blah blah blah, you probably know the rest already. slept at seven and woke up at about ten. a few people left earlier so it was much better, more space and all.
checked out got home and slept.
what else could i have done right?

then the next day i had a chalet at sentosa with my class. i arrived late, because of bro's birthday, and jeremy, who was, lets say slightly un-inhibited by our good friend alcohol, was there to pick me up from the bus-stop in sentosa. walked up to the chalet and guess what i did next? drink of course. but i didnt get too high.

whipped out my vodka and placed it together with the rest of the alcohol for the rest to share.
drank, walked, played, talked. we even did this night walk shit through the nature trail at 2++? in the morning. at first it was just glenn, yj and myself, but we got really freaked halfway and went back for reinforcements. it was damn fun and i have a whole new appreciation for the phrase 'its so dark you cant even see your feet'.

didnt sleep until the sun came up again and woke up two hours later. then we checked out and i went home again to sleep the day away.
i'm using the sabbath to just slack and re-energize before the second week of december commences and round two begins.
